Asbury offers a variety of adult discipleship and small group opportunities.

Adult Sunday School – On Sunday’s at 10 am there are three adult Sunday School Classes: Shepherd’s Staff, Friendship/Ruth Class, and Fellowship Class.

United Methodist Women (UMW) – a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Our UMW circle meets on the first Monday night each month at 6 pm in the Parlor.

United Methodist Men (UMM) – the mission of the United Methodist Men is to help men grow in Christ, so others may know Christ. The Asbury UMM meet for breakfast on the second Tuesday each month at 8 am at the Lincolnton Country Club.

Wednesdays at the Well – an adult small group Bible study is held each Fall and Spring for 8-10 weeks from 6:45 – 7:45 pm on Wednesday evenings.

Young at Heart – our senior adults meet for lunch and fellowship on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am in our Fellowship Hall. Visitors are always welcome!

Crafty Ladies – meet the fourth Thursday of the month at 6 pm to knit, crochet, and sew. Our main focus has been to make prayer shawls for those in need of comfort, chemo caps for the chemo unit at CMC Lincoln, and hats and scarves for Hessed House clients. We have taken on other special projects such as dresses for girls in Honduras. We welcome all ages and will teach willing individuals to knit or crochet if they want to join in our mission.
